Project Home of Hope

Safe housing and life opportunities for girls 16+.

Home of Hope building, Lviv, Ukraine.

Where young women can work on their education or career.

Extend a helping hand to these young adults until they can cope on their own by making a donation to cover the construction costs of the Home of Hope: a place where up to 20 girls ages 16+ can find security and work on their education or career.

Did you know?

According to www.unicef.org:

  • There are over 150,000 homeless children in Ukraine.
  • Human trafficking is an issue throughout the world and in Ukraine.
  • Children on the streets are prime targets for traffickers.

Upon reaching the age of 18 years, these young women are no longer cared for by the state and must leave the orphanage. It means the child is out on the street and completely on their own, vulnerable to life on the streets or at risk for human trafficking.

Home of Hope:
• Is a safe place to live for homeless or orphaned girls
• Offers opportunities to attend school and finish education
• Helps girls and young women become community leaders

“The Edmonton Eparchy is very happy to be able to join this project in Ukraine to help improve the lives of young girls with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine”
– Bishop David Motiuk
