There are just as many orphans that are living at home with a single parent, elderly grandparents, older siblings or other relatives who are incapable of providing for them. Many times the kids live in worse conditions than children in orphanages due to neglect.

For a child, a visit from a Sister means a warm hug, food, clothing, a toy and some chocolate. Sisters have a very difficult task to choose a needy child among so many neglected ones.

Becoming a Sponsor

Your donation will cover all the costs associated with sponsorship. Please consider this opportunity to change the life of a needy child. Join the many caring people who want to make a difference in this world. The cost is so small but it means so much to those that cannot help themselves.

Payment Options:

The children are not given cash. Sisters take the child shopping and do the purchasing for the child.

Corresponding With Your Child:

You can write directly to your child and share events in your home and community. However, responses may take several months because of the time needed for translation. Your child will write to you through the Bridge of Hope.

95% of Funds are Dedicated to Your Child

Out of $360.00 (CND) 5% is allocated for administrative purposes by the Sisters in Ukraine to purchase office supplies and bus fares. 95% of funds donated are used on a sponsored child.

For all donations an Income Tax deductible receipt is issued by the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton.
