Donate to an Orphanage
Spread joy throughout an entire orphanage.
Help children from the ages of 6 months to 17 years.
The Bridge of Hope program is working with six government operated orphanages in Ukraine. The orphanages are funded by the state and the children are ward of the state, and have from 90–250 children in their care.
Children in government care cannot be sponsored individually. They live in orphanages and any aid the orphanage receives is shared equally by all children.
Through Bridge of Hope the Sisters are reaching out to these children and delivering to all of them Christmas Shoe Boxes, clothes, shoes, candies, chocolates and their own backpacks which they get to keep for themselves. The child can keep all of his/her belongings in it. Sisters usually are the only ones that a child could trust.
A donation can be made for the children living in the orphanages. The money will be used on all of them equally in a particular home.
What happens after they turn 18?
Upon reaching the age of 18 years the child is no longer cared for by the state and must leave the orphanage. It means the child is out on the street and completely on their own. Future plans are to extend a helping hand to these young adults and help them until they can cope on their own. For more information on this please see our Project Home of Hope page.
