Get involved for Christmas
Are you looking for ways to donate to Bridge of Hope this Christmas season? An easy way for anyone young and old to get involved is to pack a shoe box (or backpack) for the kids in Ukraine. This is one of our most successful programs for many years, and is still going strong.
Accept the Challenge
A great activity to involve school age kids is to get them to help pick out the items to go in the donations. Teens and adults can challenge each other on social media by using the hashtag #shoeboxchallenge and follow the Bridge of Hope pages on Facebook and Instagram.
Have fun – make a video or take a photo to show everyone what you’ve included in your donation. Bonus points for using a backpack, drawstring bag or zippered tote instead of a shoebox as these can hold more items and are much more useful to the children who receive them. Tag us at @bridge_of_hope_ukraine so we can see and share your efforts and encourage others to join in.
When is the deadline to donate?
To make sure your donation arrives in time for December, please deliver a filled gift by November 1, 2019. Donations recieved afterward will arrive to the children in time for Ukrainian Christmas in January.
How do you fill a box?
Check out the Shoe Box page for full information on what goes into a shoe box/bag, accepted items and where to drop off your donation.
